Open Office Error saving the document. General input/output error Windows 10

Hi,

I am using Open Office 4.1.3. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and since that upgrade I am unable to save open office files. The error message is : Error saving the document. General input/output error while accessing (here it gives the file location and name). Help will be greatly appreciated?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

JohnHale Hi if this happens for all the files then most probably your open office installation has got corrupted through the windows 10 upgradation process.

Completely uninstalling the open office by using thridparty uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller and then performing a fresh installation could solve it. Let me know if that worked for you.

Or you could try libre office which is very similar to open office.
